The news in November 2008, of TUi closing as one of the Universities teaching SL tools came as a bit of a shock to many of you. We saw it as taking a
sabbatical, a given opportunity to find what this growing community needs in the form of in-game education.
TUi is a company that has done what they can to grow people in a very progressive world. With this most recent development of reopening TUi, it has given birth to an opportunity allowing us to advance educational knowledge.
Our vision here at Technical User interfacing - TUi - we are an enterprise dedicated to providing education and knowledge to Second Life residents in non-traditional ways, and to enriching the experience of this world for all.
We feel it is important to provide basic knowledge to residents at little to no cost to them, as we want to make it very simple for them to function within Second Life. Providing a new resident the ability to learn how to function in Second Life on a basic level will give them the ability to know if SL is a good fit or not. We have many schools in Second Life that will continue to provide these basic classes as TUi begins this next
